Decon's commentary:

It's difficult to think of anything really meaningful about this one or why I picked it, to be frank. Mostly it just comes down to solid execution on my part; I wanted a song that sounded like it came from a PS1 game who's soundtrack borrowed heavily from club music, and I nailed that idea (not that it was especially hard- that's arguably my bread and butter). I suppose it also serves as an example of me using a few samples I particularly wanted to make use of to help sell that idea- that blippy synth loop you first hear around 27 seconds and the panning vocal shouts at 2:17 being notable examples- but that's more a footnote or bit of trivia rather then a driving factor. Simply put, I just think this one's really good; this one was me firing on all cylinders from basically the word “go”, with my momentum and drive never waning in the breaks I took between work sessions. And sometimes, that's all the justification you need; just thinking you did an especially good job at something you do normally. It's already been part of the motivation behind a few choices of mine already.
