Decon's commentary:

This song was the first time I used the name of a member of Gonkaka for a song within the actual contributing artist field, inspiring a bit of a revelation that would lead me to a) do that more often and b) go back and retroactively assign older Gonkaka songs to the specific members of the band that wrote them (much of which was internally decided at the time I wrote them, but only ever expressed in descriptions or liner notes) and keeping “Gonkaka” solely for specific tracks. That's not the reason I picked it though; I picked it because it's almost the complete antithesis of the entirety of Xmas 2017's mission statement. This song is loaded with external samples of all sorts, from sample packs and other songs and video games and so on and so forth, in both one shot and loop forms. I like to think that all that borrowed material was picked and used very cleverly, in ways that enhanced the vibe and atmosphere I was shooting for, and the end result is still one of the finest pieces I've put together in my opinion.
