When i was pitched the idea for the concept album for Battlemania: An Evil Supreme, it wasn't the first Gonkaka concept album I'd been recruited into for art (that belongs to Nightmare Busters) but it was the first to incorporate both of our original series/characters into a single work. I was all in, of course, because a mega-crossover work was my speed. We both worked tirelessly in character choices, how they would theoretically work in a side scrolling beat 'im up, how their lore would integrate and level designs as well as character designs. In short, this was my Ultra Galaxy Fight scenario and I was going to take it.
As such, the mood is set wonderfully by the opening theme/Attract Mode opening, with a very arcade styling, and unique leitmotif we would visit multiple times over the course of the BM series. "Heaven Shatters" culminates as well as begins the entire series, and while it was hard to narrow down my 2 favorites (one of which actually was chosen by both of us, and I graciously allowed [XD] Decon to claim it: "One Pence Empire"), this one was at the top of the list the whole time.
But seriously, OPE was FIRE.
