Track 8: Flaming Abdomen (Boss) [from "DunDunDramatique DAI-JOU-BU"]
Artist: Denji Koshiro
Originally Composed: 2011

Arguably, this song could be considered an accidental fakebit song, because it came out sounding very decompressed entirely by accident; the sampled break is what does it for the most part, I think. This and The Devil's Nearest Neighbors were both composed for the same project, something you'd never know listening to them back to back given how different they sound, and though that project has been lost to time, it's rebranding as a Gonkaka song felt very natural; one of the big inspirations on the song was the boss song from DoDonPachi DAI-OU-JOU, Burning Body, primarily in it's use of a sampled break but in some ways, the composition itself. The accidental lo-fi sound the song has makes it sound a bit flatter then I really wanted it to, so overall I feel it's just a little bit naff, but as tired as the following statement is, I can understand and even appreciate the kind of style and tone I was going for with the track, and it is saved somewhat by that pretty cool breakdown section; the chops on the break are pretty damn cool and sound suitably dramatic, and I still quite like the chords and the cutting on the guitar sample, basic though it is.

Trivia Note: My very rudimentary understanding of Japanese as a language is what lead to the breaking up of the word Daijoubu, which roughly means "It's ok"/"I'm ok", for the game title parody, and I'm far prouder of the one-two punch of stupid jokes that is the game title parody then I have any right to be. Please call the Pun Police.
