Decon's commentary:

I really haven't done enough with the Rigor Motions alias. I attribute part of that to being very burnt out on Jungle and Drum & Bass for a while. In any case, this is one of those songs that's better than the sum of it's parts; I can pick apart things like the lack of note dynamics or not layering breaks with different chop-timing or whatever, but everything comes together to make this very grand and kinda dramatic sounding wintery roller perfect for drifting down a snowy motorway at sunset. I think my favourite aspect of it is the chopping and cutting of the breakbeats; wasn't the first time I'd done it, but there's a confidence to it here that I think comes through in the end product. The SFX samples/atmospheric stuff also sounds quite solid. I forget which in particular, but a custom percussion line in there- the only non-loop perc in the track besides the crash cymbals- is a nod to a conga line from one of D&B producer Aphrodite's tracks that I listened to a lot at the time.
