The quaking and shaking, They still haven't left me yet. No one ever told me That once you find safety, It's scary even moving! I can feel the rust build up... My circuits freeze, Signal overload. To process what you say Takes a minute or more. I think I conked out Without closing my eyes. Can you repeat again? Thanks for not getting mad. Working through the code, The scripts you seem to know. I must have missed them When I read my manual. I can tell that I can be exhausting But your best strategy Is to not let me get a word in. I fail and improve, I hope I can maintain this. There's no excuse, I need to trust the process. I like to think in some ways, I've been getting better, but The look on your face As I unload the trauma Tells me that I am only making drama. Kevin and the Robots return to 103 Records,with a killer one-two punch of a release that further explores and expands upon the ideas and aural aesthetics of the Midnight Oil EP. The title track, Quaking/Shaking, masterfully blends clean and heavy guitar work and vocals in masterful synergy, all backed by some extremely layered and progressive post-hardcore musicality. Aromancy compliments that with a more atmospheric and contemplative piece, fusing post-rock soundscapes and light synth work into the mix. With both songs posessing that refreshingly honest and upfront lyricism we know and love them for, this two-tracker is not be slept on.
