The latest of plastov's efforts picks up where his previous main album, video Gaze, left off; blending industrial and EBM stylings with glitchy, broken, experimental soundscapes that run the gamut from tuneful to borderline nonmusical, but carry and impeccable vibe and texture. One of plastov's stated goals, musically, is to push the software he uses- MTV Music Generator 2 for the Playstation 2- to it's absolute limits, breaking and reshaping sounds within the now 20 year old, console based software until they take on new shape, and we at 103 can safely say this release does not disappoint in that regard. plastov's signature sound and style has only continued to mature and take shape with Assembly Shrine, and we are delighted to host it on the label and excited to see where he goes from here.
