I clearly remember this was supposed to be an interlude track off of a Master Controller Featuring release of some description; specifically, it was supposed to be the backing track to one of two "skits" I was going to write and stick on the album, because... er, other rappers and hip hop artists do skits, so I figured I might as well do skits as well, regardless of the fact I didn't have any funny ideas for one, let alone two. Even as a short cut, it's a bit of a mixed bag; some samples, such as the snare and that glassy synth stab, are a bit crap, but the punchy bass drum works quite nicely (although I can't remember if I edited it in any way or if it's a straight sample from the library), and the edit job on that ambient synth pad is pretty cool; the sound itself isn't anything to write home about, but the dedication to stacking sounds and putting the time in to focus energy on creating am ambient palette is impressive, doubly so for the time.
