Around about 2010, maybe late 2009, a project was proposed on a Yume Nikki image board. Some five years later, and that project had turned into a massive community effort by dedicated fans of the little exploration game that stole their hearts many moons ago. Little did I know at the time I released this album, the project would unfortunately peter out and fade away

Yume Nikki: Dream vs Dream was intended to bring together characters from the original game (and selected fan games based around the original) to beat the ever loving tar out of one another, using whatever complex combo maps they've dreamed up for themselves. At the time development dried up, only three characters (one of them a joke character) were implemented into the game.

This release contains every piece of music I have written for the project over the years, from the early tunes I linked in the original uboachan thread, to the last few pieces I wrote back for the 2014 update. The first six tracks are the only songs that were intended to appear in future updates of the project, with songs 7-to-21 consisting of earlier versions of songs, demos and sketches, or songs who's purpose was axed. Some of the "to be removed" songs still appeared in the final alpha release, however.
