Happy 909 Day, everybody! In honour of the occasion, we're releasing this late 90s styled techno belter by Arcade Child that, naturally, is full of samples from the famous Roland TR-909 Drum Machine- la personal favourite bit of kit of label head Decon Theed.

This song is also tied to a collaborative fiction project by Decon Theed and label co-owner Dio Maxwelle, E.Q.; a sci-fi series set in the 2200s where music has become a tool of oppression and control, as well as a weapon )that can be used to kill) weilded by an elite class that seeks to keep the population in line in the form of the Music Corps. Several renegade factions- including the titular E.Q. squad- fight a tireless battle against the system, with the aim of subverting their global control and freeing music once more. Were there an E.Q. animated series or movie, this piece of music would accompany a particularly high stakes chase scene- likely one taking place on a manic highway.
