Back in the day, I frequented the starmen.net forums a fair bit, getting directly involved with the creative parts of the community to varying degrees. This typically involved composing pieces for numerous fangames (many of which can be found on the MOTHER Fan Work Collection - 103records.bandcamp.com/album/the-mother-fan-work-collection ), but I also followed a fair few other projects. One of my favourites was a comic by the name of Memoria.

Co-written by a brother-sister team of Valice and Meedean (and illustrated by the latter), Memoria was essentially a sequel to MOTHER 3, although it was poised to have connections to the entire MOTHER series as a whole. It was creative, it was funny, it was emotional, and it had some of the sharpest writing and best art direction of the various fan comics posted to the site. I followed it closely during it's run, and produced a couple of pieces of fan music throughout; one was done as part of a contest, the others was done solely for the love of it.

Sadly, real life responsibilites and other factors lead to the comic ceasing production prematurely, leaving it incomplete. At least, in illustrated form; the entire story had been thoroughly planned out in advance, and the scripts for later chapters were posted publically when the comic came to an end.

This short collection brings together the pieces I wrote for the comic during it's run, albiet with some slight editing to ensure they loop correctly (originally, the songs simply ended at the loop point). Also included is a piece I wrote for one of the pair's earlier comics, The White Ship, which served as a prequel to MOTHER 3 and was part of the connected universe of comics the pair had dreamed up, alongside Memoria and their earlier effort, MOTHER 2: Harmony.
